At TIPS journal club meeting held virtually on September 14, 2020, the topic of "COVID-19 and off label use of drugs: an ethical viewpoint" was presented by Dr. Salari, Department of Medical Ethics, TUMS. In this meeting the common national and international regulations of off-label drugs for clinical practice or investigational use were presented. Then, the ethical challenges of off-label administrations in the COVID-19 outbreak for better perception and responsible implication were discussed.

The issue of off-lable use of drugs is something that should be clarified to the health professionals to know how much permission exists or what is the procedure of getting permission to off-lable use of any medicine. This must be take care of by the countries FDAs. The Iranian FDA has to pay attention to this issue.
