International frame work for copyright

25th December 2017, in the journal club meeting, the topic “International frame work for copyright” was discussed. Many international frameworks of copyright law, such as Paris Convention, Berne Convention, WTO, WIPO, UNESCO and TRIPS agreements addressing intellectual property rights of member countries. On the other hand, there are different views regarding the copyright protections among the developing countries, some believe that national government must harmonize with global copyright laws to promote work of creators and artist and to grant exclusive rights of copyright protection and incentives. Some argue that prohibitions e.g. ‘pirates’ will favour only creative and strong industries to flourish. Some believe that implementing the same copyright laws among all parties will have a negative effect on developing countries as they failed to express in competition to developed countries.
